my whole thesis was only about 90 pages plus the beginning and ending bits. you're doing great.

Without the beginning and ending bits, it's only about (checks) 50 pages or so. But I think it's a pretty good start.

If you think it's too short you can always add more diagrams. I think that there's a tendency for people to write overly long theses though.

It is nice not to have much of a page limit unlike in publications. I may go a little nuts with appendices. Mostly to add lots of example figures showing possible variation in things, though.

Actually I take it back.... Mine is 88 pages including the beginning and ending bits. But it has cartoon pictures of monkeys to make up for being short! There's really no reason to intentionally make it longer than necessary. Maybe write a few extra papers and pad your CV rather than your thesis.
