I need to have a small burst of stress in the midst of an, on the whole, normal day.

Ahh! I leave town on Wednesday! Have not prepared! Need ride to airport! Bangs in eyes! Need haircut! Must write more things! Desk is messy! Uwe writing exams!

Thank goodness I did laundry yesterday. OK, I think I'm good now. Have musings on jogging that I might post later. Have a good afternoon!

I have discovered, when research is stressful, that it is incredibly soothing for me to sit down and read through early bits in Analysis, Manifolds, and Physics. And that I can then happily go over and do bits on the work I am avoiding.

Also: graviolis are the tastiest particle!

I forgot to brag, but Uwe made a fantastic dinner last night: a sort of curried tempura of green beans, red bell peppers, and snapper. Oh my it was awesome.

Required research arrrghh note: At APS, Lee Lindblom pointed me at some previous work that looks like it's very similar to what I've done, published in a Canadian conference proceedings in 1999. :( Maybe it will just give additional interesting ideas without making my stuff totally useless? Well, I know my stuff won't be totally useless, because we'll be using it for codes, but it was nice thinking I'd done something new already. Or at least newish.
